Design with Extrusion

In the 1960s the use of aluminium extrusions for ladders, lorry platforms and windows were big innovations, now these are the norm - who would want to carry a wooden ladder around that weighs more, is not as strong and cannot be recycled. The latter part of the 20th century saw the substitution of aluminium for copper automotive radiators. The successful development of the space frame concept for car structures and complete railway carriageways made from 20 metre long double walled extrusions.
Every PC or laptop now hides at least one aluminium extruded heat sink and in this century the trend continues epitomised by the iconic “ipod” MP3 player. Aluminium extrusions will continue to revolutionise our way of developing and provide new designs and product solutions.
