Diamond Synchrotron

Location: Harwell Science Campus, Oxfordshire

Finish: Interpon D36 - Ral 9006

Project Details:

Diamond is a futuristic doughnut-shaped building which covers the area of 5 football pitches and it is the largest UK funded scientific facility to be built for over 30 years.

It generates bright beams of synchrotron light that allows scientists and engineers to probe deep into the basic structure of matter and materials, answering fundamental questions about everything from the building blocks of life to the origin of our planet.

Birmingham Powder Coatings powder coated and assembled 3000m² of perforated mesh, 10 linear kilometres of extrusion and over 4000 end caps. These solar shading items circulate the entire circumference of the Synchrotron.
