Project Details:
The Wall is an ambitious project in Utrecht, which is a futuristic sound barrier separating the busiest section of motorway in Holland from a new adjacent residential area. Inside this 800 metre long by 12 metre high structure, which equates to 50,000m² of floor space, will be offices, shops, leisure facilities and an extensive do-it-yourself market.
The project is expected to take between 2 and 3 years to complete and the first phase of painting was completed by LBL Finishers in August 2005, which consisted of 6200 m² of aluminium panelling. The second/third are expected to commence in early 2008.
The red colour was formulated by LBL Finishers with the collaboration of all the parties listed below. This unique colour was designed with the aim and vision to create a shimmering effect from light to dark red metallic. |
