Standards and Regulations
Building/Construction
|
Introduction |
The following list identifies the principal Standards, issued by BSI (the National Standards body for the UK), relevant to the Aluminium in Building industry.
Other bodies, such as BRE Certification (LPS), National Building Specifications (NBS) and NHBC also
issue specifications that may be called for in tender documents. The CAB works with such organisations to ensure that references to and requirements for aluminium products are fair, accurate, and reflect current industry capabilities and practice.
Building Regulations are drafted and issued by the relevant Government departments for the respective regions within the UK. Specific Acts of Parliament must also be complied with, but they will normally lead to Approved Documents being introduced. |
